Digital networking group launches

A series of networking events for digital designers and artists begins this week, at locations in and around Carnaby Street, London W1.

Grok Institute will launch on Thursday evening at 12 Kingly Street, with a further four venues hosting events over the next two weeks.

‘We like the idea of a place where the digitally inclined can meet, drink, get inspired and make plans to collaborate with each other,’ says a statement released by Grok.

The events will feature installations by digital designers, including a collaboration between Andreas Müller, from retail interactives specialist Nanika, and interactive designer Joel Gethin Lewis.

Work by The Digital Club, More Soon’s Carl Burgess, Thomas Traum and Marc Kremers will also feature at the events, which will take place at 2 Ganton Street, 33 Marshall Street, 9 Newburgh Street and 65-67 Broadwick Street.

Kicking off at 7pm on Thursday, the evening will be ‘a mix of of an opening, gathering and a club night’, ending with an after-events party at No.5 Cavendish Square restaurant.
