1HQ appoints Tom Ellis to research and strategy role

Branding consultancy 1HQ has appointed Tom Ellis, the former managing director of Big Green Door, as client development director of research and strategy.

Ellis takes up a new role at the consultancy, and is responsible for developing its research and strategic divisions. He will also work with existing clients as well as generating new partnerships.

Mark Artus, chief executive of 1HQ, says, ‘It has taken us some time to find the right person and we are pleased that we can attract someone with this calibre of experience to lead our strategy team.’

Ellis says, ‘I was lured to 1HQ by its unique combination of disciplines. The chance to work alongside experts in all these fields and deliver real step-change in the branding world was an offer I couldn’t refuse.’

Earlier this month a group of former 1HQ staffers, including former commercial director Tom Lovett and head of insight Chris Molloy, announced the launch of new consultancy Brand Potential.
