Browns aims to help England bag 2018 football World Cup

Browns is designing England’s 2018 World Cup bid document, which it is hoped will help England win the bid to host the Fifa football World Cup in eight years’ time.

The consultancy was appointed to the work following a four-way tender. It has been tasked with developing an overarching concept for the book, art directing photography, and developing an aesthetic for maps, stadium diagrams and city infrastructure plans.

England is in competition with Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Qatar, Mexico, Russia, South Korea and the United States to host the event. In addition, Belgium and the Netherlands, and Portugal and Spain are submitting joint bids.

England’s final bid will be presented to Fifa on 14 May, and a final decision on the host will be announced on 2 December.
