Face rebrands Paris House restaurant

West Yorkshire-based Face has created a new brand for the Paris House restaurant, which reopens today.

Paris House, sited in Woburn Park, Bedfordshire, is reopening under Michelin-starred chef Alan Murchison.

Face creative director Anthony Hodgson says the consultancy was originally contacted by Murchison about 18 months ago, to work on a book project. Hodgson says the consultancy was briefed to create the identity for the new restaurant in January.

Originally built in Paris in 1878, the Paris House restaurant was dismantled and shipped to its current site at the end of the 19th century. It was bought by Murchison at the end of last year.

Hodgson says, ‘We wanted the identity to embody the building’s unique history and instantly capture the essence of Paris.’ He adds that the hand-drawn lettering is a reference to Art Nouveau architect Hector Guimard.

The interiors are understood to have been designed by Trevillion Interiors.
