Imagination creates Winter Olympics pavilion

Imagination has designed the Samsung pavilion at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, which starts today.

The pavilion, called the Olympic Rendezvous at Samsung, showcases the electronics company’s latest products and provides entertainment and hospitality for athletes and visitors.

Besides the pavilion architecture, Imagination has created its branding, digital installations and films. A digital ‘canvas’ will allow visitors to upload information, text and pictures, and to win snowboards by engaging in design competitions and games.

‘The aim of the destination is to encourage visitors to spend time with the Samsung brand, enticing them to learn about the latest products through numerous fun and social initiatives,’ says Imagination in a statement.

The pavilion, which expects to receive 8000 visitors a day, opens today and closes at the end of the Winter Olympics on 24 February.
