Moving Brands founder to head up San Francisco offshoot

Moving Brands chief executive and founder Ben Wolstenholme will head up the consultancy’s San Francisco office (DW 16 September), which opens on 15 February. Wolstenholme moved from London to San Francisco with his family in late December.

The new office has secured two clients based in Silicon Valley, and is scoping out projects across the US, according to Moving Brands managing director Geoff Linsell.

The San Francisco base is legally a separate company to Moving Brands. ‘Setting up as a separate entity rather than opening a branch office is the best way to do business in the US,’ says Linsell.

Moving Brands is now looking to appoint about three middleweight designers to add to its team of management and administration staff. Staff from Moving Brand’s other global offices will also ‘bolster’ the San Francisco base. ‘Moving Brands is one studio in four locations,’ says Linsell.
