Real Studios works on Greenwich Naval College

Real Studios has designed the interiors and a permanent exhibition for a new £6m visitor attraction at Greenwich’s Old Royal Naval College.

The college appointed Real Studios three years ago, briefing it to transform the interiors of its former engineering shed and squash courts into the venue, which includes a restaurant, bar and café.

The Discover Greenwich exhibition (pictured) is intended to reveal the history of maritime Greenwich, and of the college itself. The show includes artefacts, audiovisual displays, film footage, models and text across both permanent and temporary displays.

Real Studios has also created the interiors of the new Greenwich Tourist Information Centre and Clore Learning Centre housed within the venue, as well as the centre’s restaurant, bar and micro-brewery, collectively branded the Old Brewhouse.

The Old Brewhouse will feature an installation of 2000 bottles suspended over a reclaimed teak table running down the centre of the space. Graphic panels depicting historic beer bottle shapes will line the walls.

Discover Greenwich opens on 23 March.
