Having worked for many years heading an in-house design team at the Estee Lauder Group I know how difficult it is to produce quality work when pressurised by management who tend to look at ‘bottom line’ rather than quality of creativity. So congratulations to the Waitrose design team and equally to the Management team for encouraging/allowing good work.
My favourite Supermarket by far and in an era where understanding of good typography has, by and large, disappeared the signage and ticket strips are excellent in their simplicity.
