The 16 titles, which included The Angel, Living North, The Grove and South West have taken their new name from The Resident title which was previously just circulated in Kensington and Chelsea.

The new titles have been designed in-house by Archant London art director Caroline Bellenberg, who has worked with The Resident editor-in-chief Vicky Meyer on the rebrand and editorial redesigns for both print and online.

Bellenberg says she began by working on the hyper-local titles creating ‘a modern urban look with quite a lot of white space’ which in turn informed the design of the other magazines.

‘We’ve limited the colour palette to a taupe grey neutral colour with tints of green, orange and blue,’ says Bellenberg who has allowed the identity to be led by the colour of the cover image for each issue.

‘Resident’ is set in Americana, which has been re-shaped by Bellenberg and the font used throughout the magazines is Freight and the headlining is in Versailles.

Meyer says, ‘We have created a sophisticated new look for our portfolio of luxury lifestyle titles, with fresh new design, a refined colour palette and strong imagery.’

The rebrand will be supported with an above- and below-the-line promotional campaign, according to Archant London, which has also made the title available through the Apple Newsstand for all smartphones.
