We do know that there will be 2700 postcards displayed at the RCA’s new Dyson building next month.

We don’t know who’s done what though, which means you might get something by designers Margaret Calvert and Alan Kitching, or illustrator Pete Fowler, but you might end up with something equally loveable by an unknown student. It’s a beautifully simple concept.

Don’t expect all the big names to have dropped in their signature tropes – we’ve seen the RCA Secret before and it’s not that easy, but therein lies the challenge. Spotting something.

However, there is a raffle to win a place among the first 50 people to be let in an hour before the hoi polloi on buying day. Failing this just get ready to run in with your eyes open and your elbows out.

Other artists include Christo and John Baldessari, Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park, film director Mike Leigh and fashion designers, Sir Paul Smith, Orla Kiely and Manolo Blahnik.

The event is now in its 20th year and has so far raised more than £1million for the RCA Fine Art Student Award Fund.
