Doing the Green Thing
To promote Earth Hour at the end of March, charities WWF-UK and Do The Green Thing have teamed up with Pentagram and ask a series of creatives to design a poster to promote sustainable living.
A total of 29 posters have been created and one will be released each day until Earth Hour on 29 March.
Posters have been designed by contributors including Sir Quentin Blake, Sir Paul Smith, David Shrigley and Jason Bruges.
And concluding the campaign will be a design by 22-year-old Rebecca Charlton from Bolton, who won a public vote in the Earth Hour Young Creatives student competition.
Charlton’s work will feature on poster sites across the UK, and work by two runners-up – Jamie Eke and Matthew Elliot – will also feature.
Rachel Bloodsworth, head of public engagement at WWF-UK, says, ‘[This] is a brilliant way of creatively showing how we can all live a more sustainable lifestyle. The quality of designs from the student competition and the well-known creatives have blown us away.’
The Vaughan Oliver one is Very… errr Vaughan Oliver… (Nice though).
Not sure about the one where the buildings are being burnt down to create an ash cloud though?
First & Last ones work best in my humble opinion.
