Bockting goes it alone

Hans Bockting, co-founder of Dutch design consultancy Una Designers, is leaving the group after 19 years to set up his own studio. His departure brings to an end a 24-year working relationship with Una’s second co-founder Will de l’Ecluse.

De l’Ecluse will continue to run Una in Amsterdam, but the group will relocate to new offices. Bockting, who launches Bockting Ontwerpers this week, will see his current projects with Una through to completion.

Una London, a satellite office of the consultancy run in collaboration with graphic designer Nick Bell, wound up in 2005. Bell said that the two parties were too busy to capitalise on their collaboration. He reverted the name of his consultancy to Nick Bell Design.
