Lippincott Mercer has appointed David Hensley, former managing partner at Vivaldi Partners, as senior partner at the expanding London office.

Hensley, who has 28 years of experience in strategy, branding and marketing consulting, joins immediately.

Most recently, Hensley briefly ran his own branding and marketing strategy consultancy Hensley Partners, following his time at Vivaldi Partners between 2003 and 2005, where he was responsible for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to this, Hensley was at FutureBrand from 2000 to 2003, where he was director of consulting for EMEA.

In addition, he has been a consultant at McKinsey & Co and held senior strategy and management positions with Carlton Communications, Credit Suisse and Shell.

Lippincott Mercer has undergone a number of management changes in the past year.

Last summer, Simon Glynn, one of its three senior partners, was promoted to the new position of head of its London office, while Rune Gustafson, senior partner, and Kim Hartley, senior associate, left the consultancy.

In January 2006, Dave Mayer was promoted to the position of partner in London.
