Samsung set to pick Enterprise

Samsung is poised to select Enterprise IG to undertake a wide-ranging review of its global product design strategy. The expected appointment follows a three-way pitch with Seymour Powell and a tie-up between The Partners and Prospect, which took place before Christmas.

The Korean electronics giant is examining the design principles that underpin its consumer portfolio. It is thought that Enterprise IG will look at how a consistent design strategy might be adopted for all Samsung consumer products.

Paul D’Eath of Samsung Design Europe in London is understood to have organised the pitch process from the UK, although the consultancies made presentations to Samsung executives in Korea in a two-round, paid pitch process. D’Eath was not available for comment.

Enterprise IG global chief executive Simon Bolton declined to comment on the appointment.
