Syzygy deal for Hi-Res

Interactive group Syzygy has acquired 80 per cent of London-based digital consultancy Hi-Res for an undisclosed sum.

Under the terms of the deal, Hi-Res’s German founders Florian Schmitt and Alexandra Jugovic will continue to run the consultancy independently within the Syzygy Group. The consultancy’s client list includes global companies such as Nokia, Sony, EMI, Adidas, Dolce & Gabbana and Diesel.

‘With its acquisition, the Syzygy Group enlarges and further strengthens its team of top creatives,’ says Syzygy’s chief executive Marco Seiler. ‘More than ever before, we are now able to assume idea leaderships for top international brands.’

Last year, Syzygy acquired two digital media consultancies, London-based Unique Digital and German-based GFEH, Hamburg.

The WPP-owned group has more than 250 employees and its client portfolio includes Mazda, BSkyB, Littlewoods, Daimler, Ferrero, O2 and Avis.
