Civic appointed to Sport Scotland digital strategy

Edinburgh-based digital consultancy Civic has been appointed to develop a new digital communications strategy for Sport Scotland, Scotland’s national agency for sport.

Civic was appointed to the work following a pitch in December, according to a spokeswoman for the consultancy.

The three-year strategy will see Sport Scotland’s ten individual websites brought together to use one platform. The new website will help people find out how they can get involved in sport and also help to forge links between sports clubs, schools and councils.

The site, which is expected to launch this year, will offer a database of events, venues, people, resources and information.

Greig Tosh, managing director of Civic, says, ‘With the spotlight on Scotland for the Commonwealth Games in 2014, this is a fantastic opportunity for Sport Scotland to build a visible and recognisable brand that unites all sports activity in Scotland.’
