The record, which was released by Artist In Residence, was shortlisted for the Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package award.

Oliver, who is also a visiting tutor at University for the Creative Arts at Epsom, created the artwork with the help of his students.

He says, ‘I liked the idea of creating a “design lab” within the faculty to enable the students to gain experience working with an art director on a live project.’

‘I wanted some visceral, raw typography – using a variety of techniques – to express the track titles in an organic three-dimensional way, so I thought the students would be ideal for the job.’

Other nominees in the category include Tom Lunt, Rob Sevier and Ken Shipley for Light: On The South Side by various artists; Daniel Reiss and Klaus Voormann for Voormann & Friends’ A Sideman’s Journey; Qing-Yan Xiao for Story Island by various artists and Rob Jones and Jack White III, for The White Stripes’ Under Great White Northern Lights.

The winners will be announced on 13 February at a ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, US.
