Former Kimberly-Clark marketing director Jon White is joining Elmwood as London managing director.

White replaces Elliot Wilson, who left last year to join breakaway group The Cabinet.

White was marketing director of Kimberly-Clark for four years before leaving the company last February.

During that period he commissioned Elmwood to work on the redesign of the Andrex toilet-tissue brand.

White has also worked as marketing director for Kimberly-Clark brand Kleenex, and most recently was a partner in marketing agency CWA Marketing. Until July 2013 he was chairman of the executive committee of ISBA.

White says, ‘A client has to deliver commercial success by driving positive customer, consumer and shopper behaviour change.

‘I was attracted to Elmwood as they truly understood our challenges and their focus was always to leverage this and outstanding creative work to deliver effective brand and business results.’

David Godber, group chief executive of Elmwood, says, ‘Jon brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, offering an essential perspective to Elmwood’s business in his ability to understand and anticipate a client’s needs.’

Elmwood has also appointed David Jenkinson, formerly of Interbrand, as creative director for its London studio, and Damian Ferrar, who joins from Imagination, as global brand experience director.

Former Design Business Association communications director Natalie Maher has joined as global communications director.
