Designers to auction works for Tibet Relief Fund

Designers Against Tibetan Abuse is organising an exhibition and auction of artworks by designers, illustrators and photographers in aid of the Tibet Relief Fund.

Graphic designers Jonathan Barnbrook, Sebastian Cuypers and Nima Falatoori of NMO Design are all donating pieces to the show, which will take place at The Gallery, London W1. The exhibition will feature a total of 55 artworks created specifically for the show.

The show will coincide with the launch of 3 Minutes, the second book to result from a collaboration between Designers Against Human Rights Abuses and the Tibet Relief Fund.

The book includes contributions from Bibiotheque, Brighten the Corners, Abbott Miller from Pentagram and Un.titled, among others. They were briefed to visually intepret interviews with Tibetan refugees about the three minutes that changed their lives.

Data hopes that sales of the book and the auction will together raise about £3000.

Designers Against Tibetan Abuse: The Exhibition opens on 19 August, and the auction takes place on 27 August.

Would like to add that the exhibition is hugely inspiring and is a great example of how people can support a cause through using skills and talents from their work. The galllery is actually The Gallery in Cork Street, 28 Cork Street, London W1. The auction is on 27 August, details about this can be found on Tibet Relief Fund’s website: http://www.tibetrelieffund.co.uk
