Rebecca Edge is leaving the Audi Design Foundation after seven years as manager.
She will be replaced by Rebecca Myrie, who is being promoted from her position as grants manager.
Edge leaves at the end of this month, but will continue to work for the charity’s Sustain Our Nation initiative, which encourages new designers to set up sustainable design-led social enterprises. She will also offer her services to the foundation as a consultant.
The foundation credits Edge with giving it a sustainable and inclusive design focus. She spearheaded the charity’s Designs of Substance project, which has provided design support to communities in the UK, Brazil and South Africa.
Edge says that she plans to take about six months out before ‘looking to pastures new, possibly in a design consultancy role’.
