Chameleon Net to create British Library website

The British Library has chosen Chameleon Net to redevelop its philanthropic website in a move to build closer relationships between supporters and donors.

Chameleon Net won a five-way pitch and will now work to accommodate different giving options into the site including one-off gifts, legacy gifts, adopting books and becoming a friend of the library.

Dan Martin, director of strategy at Chameleon Net, says, ‘The British Library’s access to knowledge is unparalleled. Communicating this to users and supporters is key in helping to continue the library’s essential work, such as important acquisitions, research, preservation, digitisation and more.’

Martin says he is now looking at ‘who the users are and what they will find compelling and engaging’. Stakeholder engagement will be key, he says, and user testing will take place prior to launch in the autumn.
