Made Thought and D Raw work on Bond Street restaurant
London retailer Fenwick Bond Street is launching a new in-store restaurant called Bond & Brook, with design by branding and graphics group Made Thought and architect D Raw.
The department store briefed the two groups to ‘create an environment that reflects treating yourself considerately and time needed for relaxation and reflection’, according to a statement from Fenwick.
The all-day restaurant, which opens on 15 July and will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails and canapés, features a burnished pewter bar and a separate area for coffee and cocktails surrounded by shelves stacked with fashion books.
Fenwick Bond Street is also opening a new coffee shop on its third floor. The Affogato Bar was designed by Waldo Works founder Tom Bartlett and is based on a Milanese original. The bar will serve espressos poured over a scoop of vanilla ice cream with doughnuts, pastries and almond twists.
The bar and restaurant are part of Fenwick’s three-year expansion and redevelopment programme. Studio DB worked on the refurbishment of the store as part of the programme.
