Brighton Digital Festival
Brighton Digital Festival has announced its full line-up – a vast month long programme set to run throughout September.
Look out for dConstruct held on 2 September which is billed as an exploratory conference on bridging the gap between physical and digital product design.
FAR by Random Dance, led by choreographer Wayne McGregor, is an ambitious project which will bring together ‘light object and film’ in a link up with design group Random International, which organisers say, get this, is ‘forged from a radical cognitive research process.’
Brighton Design groups are involved too. Cogapp has been in touch to say they’ll be one of many consultancies involved in the Digital Open Studios Week programme.
Cogapp will also be hosting events including Design Jam Brighton which promises to be a collaborative workshop with mentored teams brought together to address the same single themed brief.
Everyone’s invited but it’s aimed particularly at user experience designers, human computer interaction and design students, graphic designers, developers and product managers.
Data Is Nature will close the festival on September 30 – ‘A night of audio-visual delights’, organisers promise. Lighthouse is curating it and there will be an array of audiovisual performers including musician and artist Paul Prudence.
Brighton Digital Festival takes place throughout September across a host of venues. For more information see http://brightondigitalfestival.co.uk/
