Suffolk-based consultancy Spring has branded Active Web Solutions’ new cloud computing service two10degrees.

Spring was appointed for the project without a pitch last month, having been approached by the client.

The project involved creating a new logo and branding to be used across all collateral including business cards, stationery, marketing materials and the website, which will launch next month.

Bex Spillings, senior designer at Spring, says, ‘The brief was to come up with something very strong typographically, without using icons or images or anything – something really bold and clean and cutting edge.’

She adds, ‘We wanted to keep it Helvetica because it’s a clean, well-recognised, confident typeface.’

Spring used an azure colour palette, with supporting colours of orange, green and purple.

Lucy Finlayson, Active Web Solutions marketing manager, says, ‘Cloud computing is a key focus and growth area for us and we needed a new brand to reflect our leading-edge software and services. The identity Spring has created for us does that perfectly.’

The branding will launch at the Microsoft Worldwide Partners Conference in Los Angeles this week.
