Wearing out
The Kemistry gallery in London has announced its latest exhibition, Out Of My Head, by illustrator Paul Wearing.
London-based Wearing has worked in the UK, US and Far East with fashion, interior and advertising houses.
A Royal College of Art graduate, Wearing’s design background has fed into large-scale architectural pieces – including a mural at brand owner General Mills’ headquarters.
Designs for US retailer Neiman Marcus and illustration for a worldwide United Airlines campaign also feature in his portfolio.
Simple forms set against strong colour characterise Wearing’s style, which often uses strong silhouetted imagery set against the kind of orange, brown and lime green hues that for want of a better word we might call retro.
This is a retrospective of career highlights and as such self-initiated and commissioned images will be on display including signed prints.
Opening on Thursday, the show will run until 6 August at the Kemistry Gallery, 43 Charlotte Road, EC2 3PD.
