Kvadrat’s collaborations
Textile company Kvadrat is publishing a new book showcasing its high-profile design collaborations.
The company has been working with designers and artists since its foundation in 1968, and recent years have seen tie-ups with the likes of Peter Saville and David Adjaye and the Bouroullec brothers.
Interwoven: Kvadrat Textile and Design, will bring these projects together with earlier collaborations from the likes of Verner Panton and Nanna Ditzel, who created the Hallingdal 65 textile pattern.
The book features a foreword from Saville, as well as contributions from the Bouroullecs, Tord Boontje, Thomas Demand and others.
The book also features previously unseen archives and photography in a 200-page hardcover book, designed by Graphic Thought Facility and bound in bespoke woolen cloth.
Interwoven is set to launch on 17 September, during London Design Festival, and will be accompanied by an exhibition at Kvadrat’s London showroom, on Shepherdess Walk, London N1, from 17-20 September.
Interwoven: Kvadrat Textile and Design, is edited by Violette Editions and published by Prestel, priced at £35.
