The site has been developed by digital consultancy Activation and features new pages dedicated to the museum’s news and history, as well as integrated social media.

Images from the museum’s collection, which spans from the Victoria era to the present day, form the backdrop to the site.

Matt Ramsay, managing director of Activation, says this is based on the ‘wonderful content and stories’ the museum has.

Museum founder Robert Opie says, ‘Our website now adequately displays the diversity and depth of our exhibits, and the journey you undertake through our “time tunnel” as you see your childhood memories unravel before you.’
