Publicis Groupe buys Salterbaxter

Publicis Groupe has bought sustainability-focused branding consultancy Salterbaxter, which is being renamed as Salterbaxter MSLGROUP.

The 70-strong London-based consultancy will become part of Publicis’s strategic communications organisation MSLGROUP.

Nigel Salter will remain as chief executive and Penny Baxter as managing director. Slater will also become the EMEA head for MSLGROUP’s Corporate and Brand Citizenship Practice.

Salter says, ‘The shifting global agenda has offered us an opportunity to scale and accelerate out business.

‘MSLGROUP’s important geographic and client footprint; its expertise in corporate affairs, digital and social, consumer communications, employee engagement and reputation management, and the company’s progressive approach will help us achieve that strategic expansion.’

Last year Publicis Groupe acquired digital consultancy Poke.
