Silk Pearce designs Snape Proms literature

Silk Pearce is designing the print literature for this summer’s Snape Proms in Suffolk.

A 48-page brochure will showcase the programme for this year’s event, which takes place throughout August. The front cover depicts the Snape concert hall, presented in the style of a colouring book to suggest a holiday puzzle theme.

A new identity for Snape Maltings, which houses the concert hall, is based on an 1824 pattress plate, and was designed by Silk Pearce earlier this year. The logo is being applied to advertisements, posters and sales brochures for the 67 homes currently being restored on site.

The latest work follows the appointment of Silk Pearce in 2006 to advise on the rebranding of Snape Malting’s retail arm. The designs for this included a redrawn visual identity, signage, literature and carrier bags.

Snape Maltings is noted for its location – the concert hall, shops and galleries are set alongside the River Aide.
