999 Design creates bee project as part of BBC Regions work

999 Design has created branding and marketing material for an initiative to highlight the dramatic decline of the British bee population, as part of its ongoing work for BBC Regions.

The consultancy was appointed to carry out all design and marketing work for BBC Regions following a nine-way on-roster pitch held at the end of last year.

999 is one of the seven consultancies remaining on the BBC’s marketing and communications roster, which was trimmed down this week from 12 groups.

As part of its work for BBC Regions, 999 created an identity for the programme Bee Part Of It, which is part of a joint initiative between the BBC and the National Trust to highlight the plight of the bee in Britain.

The consultancy also created bespoke seed packets, and a series of beehive signs for each BBC region.

999 will continue to roll out work as part of the ongoing contract, which will include advertising various shows and literature for local events.

Andy Helme, managing director of 999 Manchester, says, ‘This is a great opportunity for 999 to expand and develop. Working with the BBC will really help to strengthen our credentials and allow us to push our creative ideas to new limits.’
