Paul Kelley to launch new furniture collection at LDF
Furniture designer Paul Kelley will launch a new furniture collection at London Design Festival in September.
The collection, which will be launched at Gallery Fumi in east London on 21 September, will be called In Every Dream Home and will feature seven large-scale pieces.
Kelley, whose clients include the Paul Smith store and Theo Randall’s restaurant at The Intercontinental in London’s Mayfair, has used laminates, wood, acrylic and felt for the new collection. It will include a leather-lined armoire edged in brass and a reworking of a blue acrylic desk from 2004 in copper.
Kelley says, ‘We have to do so much more to help people understand why they should demand quality. Consumers should scream and shout for it and we as designers and makers deliver it for them – quality stands the test of time’.
Pieces of furniture from In Every Dream Home will be available in editions of three.
