The Joy of Living vs New Designers

Once again cementing the links between design and philanthropy is the tie-up between Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres Charity and the New Designers show taking place in London next week.

No stranger to harnessing design for visually exciting ways to fundraise, Maggie’s  has teamed up with Max Fraser for the Joy Of Living project, in which design luminaries created original artworks, sold to raise fund for the cause.

As part of the Thursday Lates Talks Programmer, an event called Design and the Joy of Living will take place on 30 June, which will see Max Fraser in conversation with Jon Harrison, Hannah Martin and Two Create (Lucy Nunn & Tobie Snowdowne).

The Maggie’s stand at New Designers will be themed around the idea of the kitchen table, aiming to create the look ad feel of a Maggie’s Centre.

There will also be interactive elements, in which visitors will be encouraged to create their own artworks on graph paper, with the best put on display in the stand in the hope of selling them.
