The Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial
The Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial returns this month, organised by ADG Brasil, the national Graphic Designers Association, and boasting a striking programme that has a distinctly international outlook.
Celebrating its tenth edition, the show looks to be going from strength to strength with designers, clients, suppliers, students and educators all rubbing shoulders as exhibitions, lectures, conferences and guided tours take place.
So far, so familiar. Most excitingly though, the heart of the Biennial will be occupied by a show of Brazilian design in action around the world.
Some 444 projects deemed to be outstanding have been selected by judges from the eight states of Brazil and others from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The winning projects are split into four categories, editorial, digital, promotional, and ‘Etc&soForth’, which is where visual communication touches on other disciplines like architecture, product design, illustration, fashion, and art.
10th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial runs from June 14 – 30, at the Memorial da América Latina, Av. Auro Soares de Moura Andrade 664, São Paulo, Brazil
