Wes Anson, creative partner at D.Studio, says, Toucan Training Club is for those ‘put off by the idea of pounding the treadmill at the gym or feeling embarrassed by the posing meatheads on the weights benches.’
Toucan’s offer is personal training mixed with group activities tailored to individual schedules.
D.Studio has looked to differentiate the brand from other gyms or personal trainer services by creating a look that is ‘inviting, informal and cool but at the same time effective and credible,’ says Anson.
The identity has a ‘fun and playful’ feel ‘but lets people know they can get seriously fit,’ adds Anson, who says the business owners are looking to disrupt the sector.
The Toucan bill logo has been designed as an ‘ownable and recognisable’ icon which can be extrapolated ‘to humourous effect’ says Anson.
