Cami takes final bow at The Partners

The last remaining founder of The Partners, Aziz Cami, is to step down as creative chairman at the end of May.

Cami says he will continue to consult with The Partners, as well as with the wider WPP group. ‘[WPP chief executive] Martin [Sorrell] and I have discussed working with WPP’s global clients on an ad hoc, ad media basis,’ he says.

His move marks the end of a three-year management transition, which started with Jim Prior taking over as managing partner from Cami in 2004.

Prior is positive about the changes. ‘We plan to develop our remit beyond graphic design and are currently working on our new product services offer, expected to launch in July,’ says Prior.

As well as his consultancy work, Cami will develop his Casa Loreto olive oil label and play a more active role for publisher Debrett’s.
