Last week saw the launch of a series of specially crafted drinks accessories by eight design consultancies for Diageo vodka brand Ciroc.
A competition, entitled Celebr8, paired design groups with eight bars in London’s Kensington and Chelsea. Designers were challenged to compete against each other to create a bottle accessory, using the Ciroc bottle as a starting point.
The design consultancies involved were inflatable structure design consultancy Inflate Products, which took first prize, lighting design consultancy Jason Bruges Studio, graphic and Web consultancy Jam Design, and product design consultancies Wildfire, Feek, Jake Phipps Studio, Spy and Solar Lab.
Spy’s display container came in second place, and Jason Bruges’ light glasses came in third place.
Participating venues were Raffles, Boujis, Kitts, Kosmopol, Blue Bar, Amika, Eclipse and Bluebird, where mixologists created cocktails to accompany each design.
