CDT Design creates dog and cat stamps for Royal Mail

CDT Design has designed a set of stamps for Royal Mail to mark the 150th anniversary of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The consultancy was appointed in January 2009 to create the stamps, which are released today. CDT Design has worked with Royal Mail on several other stamp series, including the Millennium and Sounds of Britain sets.

The Battersea stamps feature photographs of ten rescued cats and dogs that were re-housed after spending time at the home. CDT Design collaborated with photographer Steve Hoskins to create the images for the set.

Howard Bridges, chief executive of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, says, ‘We are delighted with the way Royal Mail and CDT have perfectly captured the endearing and unique personalities of the animals.’
