Mellor & Scott launches eyewear brand

Multidisciplinary consultancy Mellor & Scott is introducing its own eyewear brand called Originals.

The range is aimed at 14- to 35-year-olds and was ‘inspired by urban culture, music, DJing and the artistic community of Shoreditch,’ says Mellor & Scott design director Paul Mellor.

The consultancy launches Originals today when its website,, goes live.

Mellor & Scott has designed the website, branding, graphics and marketing materials for the brand, which is being manufactured in China.

‘Creating this range is the best way to showcase to our clients that we understand the full process involved in developing great eyewear. It is like a creative pitch for all potential clients, because words can only take you so far. If Originals outsells their products they will have to listen to us,’ says Mellor.

Mellor & Scott has worked on designs for Waitrose cafés and created packaging for Ray Ban. It also designs eyewear for ‘several high street fashion brands’.
