Lidbury, who joined the consultancy this week, will be working on experiential and built environments such as autoshows, showrooms and digital installations.
He will be working on current and new projects for clients including Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Mazda.
Lidbury says, ‘The ethos of Imagination as a company in terms of its creative talent, innovative ideas creation and multidisciplinary approach to project thinking is in tune with how I have been directing, thinking and developing my design projects over the past ten years in Italy and then in Tokyo, where I was running my own studio, Steve Lidbury Design.’
He adds, ‘In particular, the Automotive division is working with clients for high-quality and authentic international brands. I see a lot of scope in terms of how I can bring a fresh approach and a new way of thinking to stimulate this sector with my experience of design in retail, exhibition, furniture, product and the built environment for a diverse range of clients.’
