Tibbatts Kirk Abel interiors for Soho nightclub

Tibbatts Kirk Abel has designed the interiors of new nightclub Diu in London’s Soho.

Diu appointed the consultancy, which is also responsible for nightclub China White’s interiors, without a pitch in the autumn, after approaching the group directly.

The 250-capacity venue on Greek Street features a dance floor, a room for private parties and a smoking area at the back of the club.

‘Diu asked us to create a timeless space, but one that was quirky too’, says Tibbatts Kirk Abel director Adam Tibbatts. ‘The space was quite difficult because of the vaulted ceiling, so there were some restrictions’.

The club features a black-and-gold interior, leather banquettes and black tiled walls, as well as Art Deco-style gold-leafed timber panelling.

Diu opens on 18 March.
