Mat Dolphin was approached to work on the project about six months ago, and was tasked with creating a ‘simple’, ‘pared back’ identity, as well as working on a new website and photography.
Tom Actman, Mat Dolphin creative director, says, ‘[The H PR founder] is trying to champion her clients, not herself, but the identity had to be strong and elegant.’
Mat Dolphin created a new custom type treatment black and white logo.
Actman says, ‘We wanted to create something that was elegant and timeless, so she wasn’t looking for colour, as she was worried about it dating. [Fashion] works on two or three week lifespans, so it had to be something that fits into that world.’
The identity is shown across printed materials such as press event collateral, invites and stationery, and Mat Dolphin will continue to work with H PR to design other items including look books in future.
The new H PR website was built in WordPress to allow the client to easily update and maintain the content.
Mat Dolphin says, ‘All about the imagery and simplicity, the site is aiming to re-establish the company and make them market leaders.’
