Spanish airline Iberia to roll out new look
Spanish Airline Iberia is set to roll out a new look, in a project being led by Interbrand Madrid.
The first glimpse of Iberia’s new direction comes with new A330 Airbus business class interiors, which have been designed by Your Studio.
The new interiors have been designed around ‘The expressiveness of Spanish culture’ a proposition which touches all interior aspects, including seating and accessories and details like cushions, blankets and eye-masks, according to Your Studio. The consultancy has worked closely with fabric specialist Emma Rickards.
The Aircraft interiors are a 3D evocation of the new brand, which remains under wraps for now.
Your Studio says the look it has created is ‘a classic, sophisticated and calming environment with a thread of excitement and colour running throughout.’
The new look is to be retrofitted across the entire international Iberia fleet at business class level.
The seating solution has been designed by Spanish consultancy Mormedi and is wider and longer than previous Iberia business class seating. It is facilitated by an arm rest which folds into the bed.
YourStudio co-founder Howard Sullivan says, ‘The challenge here was to create a cabin experience which was premium, tailored and relaxing, but which also injected into every detail that invigorating expressiveness which is at the heart of the Iberia brand.’
Very good article. Only one consideration. The business seat has been designed by Mormedi, a 100% Spanish Design company. Iberia trusts on Spanish Companies for such kind of works.
