Electronic cigarette company Skycig becomes Blu eCig

The UK’s leading electronic cigarette company Skycig is rebranding as Blu eCigs in May following the acquisition of the company by Lorillard, owner of the best-selling US electronic cigarette brand Blu eCigs.

The new logo

Skycig claims to be the UKs leading electronic cigarette brand, and will take on the identity of the Blue eCigs, ‘using the striking designs as well as the bold branding and marketing of blu,’ it says.

As part of the rebrand, Skycig says it will also be ‘transforming its brand positioning to have a strong focus on lifestyle,’ a move that will be backed by a £20 million marketing campaign.

The UK blu eCigs product line will feature the same technology as the current Skycig range plus a number of upgrades from the US portfolio, including rechargeable kits and disposable e-cigarettes.

Jacob Fuller, CEO & Founder, Skycig says, ‘As the brand blu we will stand for pride, bringing e-cigarette users back into the social fold in a society where smokers have been marginalised for a long time.

‘The UK product range will be supported with a bespoke advertising and marketing campaign that will stand out in the category.’

Hi, I would like to say that im all for blu being part of skycig but am annoyed that when im goin to have to purchase the new refills for my skycig for me and my husband that its going to look silly as we both have the white skycig and then are goin to have to use black coloured refills. … I know its not all about how it looks but its a big part… we have been non smokers now for 4-5 months and are enjoying the skycig but feel as though I will have to purchase the new blu battery cig. Thank you. Miss l mckinnon.

I have purchased a skycig (the new packaging) I’ve had it on charge for hours & the light is still blue. Does it stay blue when fully charged or does it change colour?
