A round-up of this week’s news in brief.

Elmwood has appointed Helen Taylor as client services director. Taylor was previously marketing director at consumer healthcare brand Seven Seas.

Japanese architect Shigeru Ban has designed the Aspen Art Museum building, due to open this August in Colorado.  The new building triples the amount of exhibition space in the current Aspen Art Museum, and will open with an exhibition on the work of Yves Klein and David Hammons.

Simoniz
 

Manchester-based consultancy The Market Creative has designed new packaging for car care brand Simoniz. The new designs take the look of the original wax packaging from Simoniz – which was founded in 1910 – and apply it across the entire product range, including aerosol cans, bottles, wipes and trigger sprays.

Code Computerlove has designed a new app for Chester Zoo, which allows users to buy tickets, virtually explore the zoo and play games. ‘The core objective of the iOS app is to enhance every step of the user’s journey ­ so much so that content changes depending on a user’s location’, says the consultancy.

Primark.
 

The One Off has designed Primark’s T-Dept campaign, to promote the store’s t-shirts across all departments. The campaign imagery was shot at Rida Studios.

Steam has been appointed by Wembley Park event venues to create new branding to be used across the various sites, which include Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena; The Hilton London Wembley; The Drum at Brent Civic Centre; and The London Designer Outlet. The project also involves the development of a responsive website and booking platform.

Satellite Creative has designed a new website for charity Hope for Children’s new student fundraising initiative Your Uni, Their Lives. Features of the website include information on project work, challenges and partner profiles with real-time totals showing how much each university has fundraised. It can be viewed here

Seek No Further
 

Consultancy David James Agency (DJA) has created the branding for US clothing brand Fruit of the Loom’s new premium offshoot, Seek No Further. The brand is being sold in a London pop-up store designed by Universal Design Studio

Imagination has designed the Jaguar Land Rover stand, The Residence, for the Geneva autoshow. The stand featured 32 mobile scanning points across the stand, allowing customers to download and take away the content that interests them, immersive zones, more than 40 touchscreens and product demonstrations. The consultancy has also appointed Steve Pearce as client services director of its new Coventry office.

Branding agency Pepagon and media agency Rathbone Perception Media have merged to form new consultancy RP2, based in Chelmsford.

Capitalize has designed a stand for coffee brand Illy for Milan’s Design Museum, aiming to showcase the brand’s relationship with the 2015 Milan Expo. The stand uses The Coffee Drop Suspended – an artwork by UK-based artist Alistair McClymont.

Consultancy Beyond has designed and built a new website for the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, to be used as an education tool in schools. This year is the centenary of WW1, and the site is one of a number of education projects to mark the 100-year anniversary. It can be viewed here

Warrington-based consultancy DV8 Designs has appointed interior designer Jane Johnson and human resources manager Rebecca Fryer as part of the expansion of its team.

Biles Inc has designed the branding and packaging for the Evoka range of wellness products, owned by cosmetics and beauty retailer Maionnaud. The range includes shower gels, bath oils, body creams & candles.

Consultancy Nerv has created a new campaign for fashion brand Ted Baker. The campaign features illustrations by Paul Thurlby, and is based around the Zolted character – a ‘travelling mystic and diviner of circus fortunes’, according to Ted Baker. You can view the campaign video here

World Water Day.
 

The Good Agency has created ‘watergraphs’ for charity WaterAid, marking World Water Day at Canary Wharf, London. The 5m by 10m wall of water displays the names of people who pledge their support to the charity.
