Caulder Moore picks Lowe as MD

Retail specialist Caulder Moore has appointed Colum Lowe, head of design and human factors at the NHS National Patient Safety Agency, to the newly created position of managing director. A replacement at the NPSA will be decided upon when the new chief executive Martin Fletcher starts next week.

Set to take up the post on 21 May, Lowe will be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the business. This will allow partners Ian Caulder and Irene Maguire to focus on client service and creativity. ‘I will be driving the consultancy forward’, says Lowe. ‘My aim is to make it exemplary across the board.’

Lowe’s role at the NPSA was to work on practical measures to enhance patient safety.

Prior to the NPSA, Lowe was a director and partner at international design consultancy Plan Creatif/Crabtree Hall.
