Perfect Sense, a division of perfume house Mane, has launched a limited edition $5000 (£2527) woman’s fragrance called Yu, with design by Pearlfisher.
With only 500 bottles available worldwide, Yu will be sold by invitation only at speciality stores in the US, UK, Hong Kong and the Middle East.
Pearlfisher’s New York studio has been tasked with creating an identity and positioning for the fragrance. The consultancy came up with the name, the identity, bottle design, packaging and accompanying book.
Natural and organic materials are used in the packaging, including crystal, birch wood and leather, to reflect the premium quality and natural origin of the perfume.
The project has been overseen by Pearlfisher New York creative director Lisa Simpson.
