Rose creates Wellcome book

The Wellcome Trust is launching a publication about its new library’s special collections to coincide with the reopening of the £30m London public venue the Wellcome Collection next month. Print design is by Rose Design.

The new venue is the former headquarters of the Wellcome Trust. It is being remodelled by Hopkins Architects and will feature permanent exhibition designs by Gitta Gschwendtner, interactive installations by Ico Design Consultancy and graphics by Kerr Noble.

To coincide with the launch this summer, Rose Design has created a book entitled Cures & Curiosities, which offers an insight into the library’s special collections. It is illustrated with photographs and punctuated by personal comments from authors who have used the library.

The consultancy was appointed without a pitch, having previously designed The Phantom Museum for the Wellcome Trust in 2003.
