Sony Ericsson unveiled four new handsets at a global launch in London on Tuesday evening.
Designed by the in-house design team from its Creative Design Centre in Lund, Sweden, the S500 (pictured) comes with ‘mysterious green’ or ‘spring yellow’ exteriors.
The 14mm slider phone takes its colour cues from the natural world and sports lighting effects that run up and down the handset from the keypad to the screen, which adjust to the time of day.
On sale in the next few weeks, the S500 comes with a new mineral glass scratchproof screen and 2.0 megapixel camera. Also unveiled were the T650, the new T250 and the P1, which will go on sale in Q3.
