Entitled The Botanist and located in Sloane Square, SW1, its interior concept draws on the notes of Sir Hans Sloane, whose journals are kept in the Natural History Museum.

Owned by ETM Group’s founders Tom and Ed Martin, this is the latest addition to a gastro-pub empire which includes Clerkenwell’s The Well and Fetter Lane’s The White Swan.

Interior designer Laura Van Zeveren has used a colour palette which enforces the venue’s nature theme, encorporating hues of mushroom and stone, while the floor and tables are made from oak and the dining chairs have been designed by Autobahn.

Other features include artist Adam Ellis’s collation of natural wonders in the dining room. Based on Sloanes’ botanical writings, it is being presented as a collector’s cabinet of curiosities.
