LPA Futures photography winners announced

Designer turned photographer Jon Tonks is among five winners of the 2009 LPA Futures awards.

Tonks’ editorial photography has been published in The Sunday Times and Saturday Telegraph Magazines. He has also been commissioned to shoot for Dazed & Confused.

The LPA Futures awards, which seek to showcase emerging commercial photography talent, yesterday also honoured four other photographers.

Photojournalist Thomas Ball, editorial photographer Laura Pannack and landscape photographers Sam Irons and Ben Roberts were all recognised for their work.

All five photographers have won two years’ representation by photographic agency and LPA Futures’ organiser Lisa Pritchard Agency.

The judging panel included NB Studio creative director Alan Dye, Loewy Group creative director Bob Wheller and Creative Review editor Patrick Burgoyne.

An exhibition of the winners’ work is on show at The Print Space, London E2, from today until 10 June.
